Overview

Lifetap is a free life counter and companion app for tabletop play. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, and disclosed when you use the Lifetap mobile app, website, and any optional account or backup features we may offer.

In general, Lifetap is designed to work without an account. Game state, saved player profiles, settings, and similar app data are intended to stay on your device unless you choose to use optional account, backup, sync, or similar cloud features.

Information We Handle

We do not require you to create an account or provide profile information to use Lifetap. Information you enter into the app, such as player names, saved profiles, game history, counters, and settings, is stored locally on your device.

If you choose to use optional account, backup, sync, or similar cloud features, certain information may also be transmitted to and stored through those features in order to provide that functionality.

If you contact us directly, for example by email, we will receive the information you choose to include in that message, such as your email address and the contents of your request.

App Data and Diagnostics

Lifetap uses third-party crash-reporting and diagnostic tools to help identify bugs and improve stability. These tools collect crash-related technical information when a crash occurs.

Website Data

If you visit the Lifetap website, basic technical information may be processed as part of delivering the site, such as server logs or standard request data. This may include information like your IP address, browser type, or the pages requested.

The website is intended to provide information about Lifetap and link to third-party platforms such as app stores. Any data collection performed by those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

How Information Is Used

Information we receive is used only for limited purposes such as:

• Diagnosing crashes and technical issues;
• Improving Lifetap and building or refining features; and

We do not sell personal information. We collect little to no personal information in the first place.

If you use Lifetap without an account, gameplay data remains on your device until you delete the app or remove that data yourself.

If you choose to use optional account, backup, or sync features, related data may be retained for as long as needed to provide those features or maintain the account.

If you email us, we may keep the message for as long as needed to respond or keep records of the conversation.

Security

We aim to use reasonable safeguards for information under our control. No method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Lifetap may link to third-party websites or services, including app stores and other external resources. If you follow those links, your interactions with those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

Lifetap is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has contacted us or provided personal information through the website, contact us and we will review the request and take appropriate steps.
